Article: Responsibility as a Driving Force

Responsibility as a Driving Force
At HSCPH, we are proud to create designs based on integrity and responsibility. We firmly reject child labour, forced labour, unfair wages and working conditions, and an industry that treats people as disposable resources without rights while placing unnecessary strain on the environment. Such practices are not only incompatible with our values - they are also incompatible with a healthy and sustainable future.
For us, it is essential that everyone throughout our value chain is treated with fairness, respect, and dignity. That is why we work exclusively with partners who comply with our Code of Conduct, and we never compromise on these principles.
Production in the EU
Our production is located entirely within the European Union - a choice we have made with great pride. This not only provides assurance of fair working conditions but also ensures high environmental standards, transparency, and quality throughout the production process.
It comes at a higher cost, but for us it is the only responsible path forward. Only in this way can we stand behind every link in our value chain.
Environment and Responsibility
For us, responsibility concerns both people and the environment.
At HSCPH, we are committed to reducing our impact on nature. Our plant-based materials, such as hemp and viscose, are cultivated without pesticides, and all trees used in the production process are replanted. We maintain strict requirements regarding the responsible use of water and energy, as well as wastewater management throughout our production.
Our partners must comply with stringent standards for waste reduction, resource recycling, and the safe handling of chemicals in accordance with EU REACH regulations. Everything we produce is tested to ensure it is free from harmful substances, and we only collaborate with suppliers who can demonstrate the same level of commitment.
Our goal is to minimise waste, maximise resource efficiency, and ensure that nothing ends up unnecessarily in landfill.
Fair Conditions for People
Equally important to us is ensuring that the people involved in our production are treated fairly and respectfully. We require fair wages, reasonable working hours, statutory breaks and holidays, and safe working environments. Diversity and equal opportunity are fundamental principles, regardless of background, gender, age, or religion.
Conducting business with integrity and fairness forms the foundation of HSCPH.
Child labour is entirely unacceptable. Only young people above the age of 15 may perform light, safe tasks on reduced working hours, and never at the expense of their education. Forced labour is not tolerated under any circumstances. All employment must be voluntary and based on a written contract.
Respect for human rights and workers’ rights is a non-negotiable part of our business.
OEKO-TEX® – A Guarantee for Consumers
In addition to our own standards, we provide our customers with further assurance through our OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification, Product Class 1 (Certificate No. 2176-347 DTI). This certification serves as a consumer guarantee that our products do not contain harmful chemicals.
Product Class 1 is the strictest category and is approved for baby products. This means we go further than most companies in our industry to ensure that our styles are as clean and safe as possible.
The certification covers every component of our production—from fabrics and dyes to sewing threads, labels, tapes, and buttons. The Danish Technological Institute conducts annual control testing, and we are responsible for obtaining and documenting certifications from all of our subcontractors.
For you as a consumer, this means you can choose our designs with confidence, knowing that every detail has been carefully tested and verified.
Our Promise
Operating a business in this way requires time, resources, and uncompromising dedication. However, we firmly believe it is the only right way forward.
When you choose HSCPH, you choose a responsible company whose products are created with respect for both people and the environment - a choice you can make with a clear conscience.
