HSCPH is a Danish fashion company since 2003, founded and owned by creative head Henriette Steffensen, and behind the sustainable brand Henriette Steffensen Copenhagen. Located north of Copenhagen with the ocean and forest as neighbours the HQ is a place of reflection and focus.Passion and commitment for a sustainable lifestyle, love for creativity and a no waste approach to almost anything, those core values are the drivers of everyday actions and targets. They are incorporated in what we do and why we do it.
With a dedicated approach to simplicity and design, the brand with its wide range of super soft sustainable fleece and jersey designs, keeps it promise of a long-lasting relationship. This has let the brand grow from a smaller passion driven collection to become a serious international brand among contemporary women. All products are available on a global growing market.
In 2018 the company was awarded The Gazelle Growth award, based on turnover growth throughout the last 4 years. We are proud for this acknowledgement of our efforts, and we are grateful for the strong relation we have to our partners and customers. Without their support we would not have reached this goal.
Creative director & CEO
The inspiration for the constant development of the brand comes from Henriette Steffensen own everyday life, as a business and family woman. Her personal needs are the drivers for new ideas.
Henriette’s love to the nature was founded already in her childhood where she grew up at the tough west coast of Denmark with the wide ocean and the quiet pine forests nearby.
No Waste is constantly on her mind, also when the family’s hens enjoys the leftovers form the family dinners.
True Fleece is our core product, interpreted in a variation of contemporary classic styles, equally suited for both work and leisure. The designs are flattering, comfortable and versatile, extending its use for the entire day.
The composition of our Oeko-Tex® certified fabric with 70% of high-quality polyester fibres, and 30% hard spun viscose, creates the unique softness and fluffiness that is so very characteristic for this brand.
We use many different dye techniques to obtain our special colours and the high colourfastness which gives us the opportunity to create vivid, interesting colour tones inspired by nature’s own colour pallet. We pledge to highly controlled knitting technology, surface cutting and brushing techniques that ad to the cosy soft sensation and to the volume of the fibre.
As we do not use a high amount of softener in production the extreme fluffiness of our products will reduce slightly after wash. All our fleece qualities are produced at carefully selected high level industrial facilities in Italy.
Our target is to reduce the impact of waste in our production and we continuously aim to challenge our way of doing things.
Therefore, by using almost every scrap of fabric left-overs from the main production we create a variation of unique designs in a limited edition under the No Waste label.
Under this label some designs will have variations in colour placement creating the uniqueness of each style and the label itself.
The numbers produced are limited to how many leftovers we have.
Our super soft Oeko-Tex® certified jersey line, contains a few handfuls of selected items which compliments the fleece styles, and gives your outfit a complete and balanced look.
Adding the distinct Henriette Steffensen DNA of a no-nonsense approach to form and function, the styles are aimed at a contemporary and body-conscious woman. The hard spun heavy 95% viscose and 5% Elastan fabric is developed and produced in Turkey.
Viscose is made from re-generated wood creating an industrially produced natural fibre, with the unique properties that keep you both cool and comfortable.
By using the longest fibres of viscose combined with elastane our fabric has the dry hand feel, letting the colours we choose glow. Due to the “heaviness” of the fabric, the products drape around the body without clinging, creating a comfortable and loose fit that flatters any body type.
Art in the life of Henriette Steffensen is a cornerstone for her creativity. Together with architecture and nature this is for her a great inspiration Taking her most personal approach to colours, form and context, the art created by her is from time to time implemented in unique prints on her collections. Art has many shapes and forms and we allow our self ́s to surprise and create newness whenever inspiration passes by.
We pledge that we constantly challenge the way we think, work with and produce our products. We calculate detailed in fabric usage, CO2 reduction and efficiency into all designs created. Our target is to reduce the impact of waste in our production and we continuously aim to challenge our way of doing it. We produce our own Oeko-Tex® certified fabrics in Europe. The minimal environmental chemical impact that this certificate guaranties, is one of our sustainable approaches towards a cleaner future for our planet. Internally and externally we target no waste or low waste, by implementing following in our company:
Low environmental impact by using certified fabrics
High usage of all fabrics targeting No Waste
Transportation by truck and not air – where possible

Reusing all carton outer-boxes that we receive
Sorting our trash into food, metal, paper,
